BCYMP Annual Letter

Dear friends of BCYMP,

Thank you for believing in our Mission. Whether you have recently been connected to us or have been a long-term supporter, I am excited you are a part of BCYMP! We are approaching our 20th year of mentoring as a 501(c)3; therefore, we have 20 amazing years to be thankful for. BCYMP will continue to be successful because of individuals that care about the youth in our community and are willing to give their time, dollars, or both to ensure the success.

Our organization is proud to to have the confidence of our Parenting Adults. One mom shares, “BCYMP has been a wonderful avenue for my son to work on his social skills, which are very much lacking as a part of his autism. I know he is safe and his Mentor truly cares about him.” We aim to foster developmental relationships for young people in Brookings County while being an entity that our youth, their families, and our Mentors all feel supported. So while we serve over 125 young people, we have the opportunity to impact well-over 500 and create the lasting generational impact we strive for.

These relationships can be a powerful tool for a young person’s well-being. We need to continue to support Mentors encouraging our young people to discover who they are, create opportunities for Mentoring Pairs to expand a skill, and to help a young person learn how to contribute to our community. Every dollar will make a difference to our big year ahead of us. Will you consider a donation to BCYMP?

Sincerely,

Ali Teesdale
